Price guide to antique Famille Rose porcelain boxes. Famille-Rose, sometimes known as Rose Famille, was introduced during the reign of the Kangxi Emperor (1654–1722), possibly around 1720. It used mainly pink or purple and remained popular throughout the 18th and the 19th centuries, also being widely adopted by European factories.
Famille Rose enamel ware allows a greater range of colour and tone than was previously possible, enabling the depiction of more complex images, including flowers, figures and insects. Reference: Wikipedia

A FAMILLE ROSE ‘PEACOCK’ BOX, COVER AND LINER
EARLY 20TH CENTURY
The circular, domed cover is decorated with a peacock and a peahen perched on rocks amongst flowering peony and magnolia, surrounded by an iron-red band embellished with a lotus scroll, which is repeated on the box. The liner is inscribed with four characters. The base is glazed turquoise and has an apocryphal Hongxian mark.

Of compressed globular form, supported on a low footrim, the lid with two bees amidst floral sprays, the exterior base with a butterfly and chrysanthemum blooms and buds, base with Qianlong seal mark. Diameter 3 1/2 inches.
